I like this guy, and I'm happy to see that you have the knack for dwarven proportions down. It just so funny when I will see some artist who is highly skilled, yet when they attempt to do a dwarf they treat them as nothing more than a short human with a thick beard.

But this guy pretty much hits all the sterotypical characteristics of fantasy dwarves:
--heavily knotted muscles, which is a must for a dwaven smith--as he appears to be
--dour, hardy look on the dwarf's face, well exemplified by that hard-edged stare peering out under those bushy eyebrows
--the big, wide nose, which thankfully isn't so long that it might make him confused for a gnome
--the bald pate, so often identifiable with dwarves, or at least the older ones
--the thick, bushy beard. If I were being particularly picky, I might say that his beard is a tad on the short side for a greybeard. But I've seen so many presentations of beards from ones that are this size to ones that flow down to their feet that I'm not certain that one can claim for there to be a standard length. Just don't go crazy and start doing any doodles involving female dwarves with beards; that Tolkien reference has been misunderstood and taken a life of its own

That's an interesting touch, BTW, in having the runes be on the edge of his hammer like that. Most people who throw runes on a hammer will place them on the sides, and this is the first one I've seen with this presentation.
